The British Berkefeldฎ ("Big Berkey") Water Filter System is designed for use in situations where a reliable supply of treated drinking water is unavailable. This unit is constructed of high grade, polished stainless steel, making it hygienic, durable and easy to clean. It is portable, stores easily and can be used virtually anywhere, anytime. The upper chamber is filled with water which feeds through the filters into the lower chamber. An easy to turn On-Off spigot is used as the outflow tap. The ceramic filter elements reduce up to 99.99% of particulates, cysts, parasites and pathogenic bacteria including, but not limited to, E. Coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia and Salmonella Typhi. Additionally, these powerful filters will reduce chlorine, rust, sediment and organic chemicals. Each filter element will provide efficient filtration for 2,600 gallons to 15,000 gallons depending on water quality.
