Exclusive Intelligence Examiner Report
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Panic has gripped the nation. COVID-19 is front and center on national and local news programs. The President’s pandemic task force issues daily updates, along with dire predictions of the ultimate outcome.
Governors and city leaders are issuing shelter-in-place directives. Some have even resorted to draconian measures to insure people stay isolated. Reservists in the National Guard have been called to action. A picture quickly circulated around the internet of armored tanks on trains arriving in Los Angeles. According to a follow-up report, the tanks were part of an exercise and were headed back to Texas. Still, many are left to wonder how far away martial law could be.
Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti issued a stay at home order until at least the end of May. Under this directive non-essential businesses must shutter their doors. However, many of these businesses have refused to comply, leading Emperor Garcetti to threaten to “cut off power and water supplies to businesses that defy the city’s coronavirus lockdown order.” Garcetti also said, “You know who you are. You need to stop it. This is your chance to step up and shut it down, because if you don’t, we will shut you down.”
Governor Gavin Newsom, on March 18th, stated, “We’re not some small isolated state. We’re a nation-state. Santa Clara County’s conditions are extraordinarily different than Tulare... And so, while it may be...comforting...for some one size fits all, that’s not the world in which we view the reality.” The very next day Governor Newsom issued a stay at home order for the entire state to establish so-called consistency.
In a rare moment of Americanism, Newsom thanked President Trump for his help during this crisis, foregoing the normal rhetoric most looney-left governors have espoused. The Governor also has taken responsibility for the shortcomings related to testing of suspected coronavirus victims. It seems the crisis demands action and not playing the blame game other governors have participated in.
Where Newsom has decided to refrain, it appears as if New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo has aspirations on the oval office and has used this crisis to constantly blame President Trump and his administration for their lack of preparedness for this pandemic. A recent CNN investigation revealed “at least ten reports had been issued by several federal agencies under Bush (7) and Obama (3) which cautioned about the risks of a lack of supplies amid an outbreak.”
Moreover, in his zeal for federal handouts, Cuomo blasted Trump for not supplying enough ventilators to accommodate the growing number of victims in New York. Because of this shortage, hospitals in New York were forced to share ventilators among patients. In another report it was revealed that Cuomo had a stockpile of ventilators at his disposal but was refusing to release them.
New York City mayor and former Democratic presidential hopeful Bill de Blasio, in a March 2nd tweet, told New Yorkers, “to go on with your lives and get out on the town despite Coronavirus.” On February 9th, New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot tweeted: “Today our city is celebrating the Lunar New Year parade in Chinatown, a beautiful cultural tradition with a rich history in our city. I want to remind everyone to enjoy the parade and not change any plans due to misinformation spreading about #coronavirus.”
On March 30th, Mayor de Blasio has threatened to violate the First Amendment to our Constitution, claiming that churches who failed to obey the government’s Coronavirus guidelines will be permanently closed. Many other groups have jumped on the bandwagon wherein Christians are to blame for this pandemic.
Other Democratic governors joined the chorus of politicians who have openly blamed the Trump administration for malfeasance of duty. J. B. Pritzker from Illinois, Gretchen Whitmer from Michigan, and Jay Inslee from Washington state are but a few.
Hollywood’s “know-it-alls” have also jumped on the bandwagon-of-blame and helped to inflame their mindless followers with fact-less posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, in February, visited San Francisco’s Chinatown dismissing the threat of Coronavirus. Her publicity stunt was in response to a decline in business. She was quoted as saying, “Everything is fine here.”
Move forward to the 29th of March and during her appearance on CNN’s State of the Union program Pelosi stated: “His denial at the beginning was deadly. I don’t know what the scientists are saying to him. I don’t know what the scientists said to him—when did the president know about this, and what did he know? That’s for an after-action review. But as the president fiddles, people are dying.” She also intimated that another round of impeachment trials could result from this situation.
Pelosi’s cohort in the previous impeachment attempt, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), has let it be known he favors an investigation into how President Donald Trump handled this crisis. By whatever means necessary seems to be the mantra of the Democrat-led House of Representatives.
Former President Barack Obama has been vocal in his displeasure of Trump’s handling of this pandemic. However, many—including Obama himself—are quick to forget how his administration blundered about during the Swine Flu and Ebola pandemics that afflicted our nation. Thanks to their ineptitude, the emergency stockpiles of necessary medical equipment and supplies were left barren. There was no preparation for the next pandemic, should it come to our shores.
President Donald Trump is not without spot or wrinkle in the blamefest. Trump has ceaselessly blamed governors as being inept. He has also told governors to handle the purchasing of needed equipment themselves. Trump has lambasted the media—deservedly or not—while not offering solutions to calm the masses.
When news came out concerning a potential medication that could save lives, President Trump announced it was a gift from God. This immediately triggered the never-Trumpers in the media and politicos across the country who voiced strong opposition to this treatment. Main Stream Media leaped at the chance to blame Trump for sending a false message of hope. The governors of Michigan, Nevada, and even Cuomo of New York immediately banned off-label uses for Hydroxychloroquine.
Thankfully, those doctors on the front line of this pandemic were not deterred. Governor Cuomo relented to its use in trials at New York hospitals. Numerous other doctors, both here and abroad, have also begun using this readily-available drug on their patients in conjunction with zinc and an antibiotic. The results have been stunning so far.
Obviously it is easier to blame others for their ineptitude than to accept responsibility for ones own failings. The Apostle Paul tells us: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16).
I have received many messages about this pandemic. Jesus gave us a blueprint of what will occur in the endtimes: “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs” (Luke 21:11). There are locusts currently ravaging Africa, earthquakes being reported from California to Oklahoma, and this horrible pandemic traversing around the globe.
My heart is not fearful, for I know that if you, dear reader, have been born again in the blood of Jesus Christ, you are just a pilgrim passing through on your way to spiritual Jerusalem. I take comfort in Psalms 23:
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
For those who are blessed to be counted in the Book of Life, rejoice for Jesus has prepared for us a glorious place. Lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.
