We have all heard tales from the wild west. Stories embellished to present an out-of-control way of life have been depicted in many books and movies. Was it as wild as what we see today?
We know from historical documents that there were criminals which garnered headlines. There were gold prospectors looking to get rich with the numerous reports of “gold in them thar hills!” However, by and large, the majority of settlers in the westward movement were in search of land ownership to settle down, farm or ranch, and raise a family.
The “wild west” period roughly spanned from 1865 until 1900. For much of this era law and order was almost non-existent. That does not mean there was complete anarchy. Many of these frontier settlements adopted their own code of honor and methods of policing. When warned of outlaws encamped nearby, the locals would form a posse to drive them out.
Unfortunately, these wild and woolly days pale in comparison to the evil that has befallen our landscape today. Legendary lawmen like Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and Pat Garrett would be aghast at the violence and corruption that inhabits our nation today.
Defund The Police
The “Squad” consists of progressive socialist Democrats. It members have been extremely vocal in calling for defunding of the police. Massachusetts’s Ayanna Pressley sponsored the BREATHE Act which aims to eliminate federal law enforcement agencies. New York’s Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, and Missouri’s Cori Bush have all been vocal in calling for the ending of law enforcement across the country.

Ironically, all of these women have spent tens of thousands of dollars on private security. Ms. Bush, whose district covers St. Louis and surrounding communities, has spent over $70,000—more than any other member of this rabid pack hypocrites—deeming her life infinitely more valuable than her constituents. She was quoted in the New York Post as claiming, “my body is worth being on this planet right now.”
The Squad’s male member, New York representative Jamaal Bowman, has called police agents of white supremacy. In his bid to uphold the Democrat mantra of “good for me, not for thee,” Bowman has requested protection for his home from the Yonkers Police Department at taxpayer’s expense.
Soros-backed Prosecutors
Billionaire donor George Soros has funded numerous prosecutors across America. These so-called “people’s lawyer” can be found in our nation’s most crime ravaged cities. Criminals are being allowed to walk out of jail on low cash bonds or aren’t even being charged. Here are just a few:
Kim Foxx is the State’s Attorney for Cook County, Chicago. The murder rate in Chicago is at its highest in nearly 30 years. Foxx vowed to reform the criminal justice system which she claims disproportionately incarcerates people of color.
For a three-year period analyzed by the Chicago Tribune, Foxx’s office dropped 8.1% of homicide cases, 9.5% of felony sex crime cases as well as increased the rate of dropped cases for aggravated battery and for aggravated battery with a firearm. The most well-known case where Foxx’s office dropped all felony charges was that of actor Jussie Smollett. Smollet had been accused of staging a racist and homophobic attack on himself in downtown Chicago.
Chesa Boudin is San Francisco’s District Attorney. His progressive platform promised to end cash bail, reduce the size of the city’s prison population, “reimagine” criminal justice and stop enforcing so-called “quality-of-life” crimes such as prostitution.
Two days after assuming his position Boudin fired seven of the top prosecutors and hired public defenders to replace them. Within three months he had released almost forty percent of the city’s prison population. From the time he took office in January of 2020 through March of 2021, Boudin’s office tried twenty-three cases. As a consequence homicides are up, as are burglaries and carjackings. Arson attacks have also increased by almost 50%. Shoplifting is now so prevalent in the city that Walgreens has closed 17 locations in San Francisco.

George Gascón issued a list of crimes that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office no longer would prosecute when he took office in December 2020. Gascón announced he would stop seeking the death penalty, would no longer prosecute children as adults, and would no long file three-strikes charges, which required life sentences for people convicted of multiple offenses. He also vowed to no longer send DAs to parole hearings to oppose release and said he would re-evaluate thousands of cases for resentencing.

Larry Krasner,District Attorney for Philadelphia, is another Soros stooge. When Krasner took over as Philly D.A., he announced that his office would no longer prosecute crimes such as drug possession, prostitution and retail theft under $500. The number of crimes charged by the D.A.’s office has plunged, the total of all cases charged fell by 47%. The conviction rate in the D.A.’s office for all crimes fell to 22.6%. Not only has the conviction rate fallen for violent crimes, but under Krasner, the sentences for convicted felons are shorter.
Crime Wave Sweeps Across America
Crime has seemingly exploded across our country. Murders increased almost thirty percent in 2020. Some of these could be placed at the feet of progressive prosecutors, but most should land squarely in the lap of the Black Lives Matter movement. This Marxist organization has used the deaths of criminals as its platform.
Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota are the most prominent to the public. Although it was documented that Mr. Brown had assaulted a convenience store clerk and stolen cigars, proceeded to walk in the middle of a street, was instructed to get out of the street by a police officer, assaulted the officer and attempted to take his gun before he was fatally shot.
George Floyd was arrested for passing a counterfeit twenty dollar bill at a local grocery store. While attempting to place handcuffs on Mr. Floyd he resists. After being cuffed he is then placed in the seat of his car. Less than two minutes later he is seen standing in the street. After being ordered to get in a police SUV Floyd refuses. Interestingly, the police have not been combative—as is documented by numerous phone videos—and spent almost eight minutes talking to him before he is pinned to the ground.
Did the officer need to keep his knee on the neck of Mr. Floyd? Probably not. Was this a murder of a black man by a white cop? Definitely not, in this author’s opinion.
When the autopsy report was released the medical examiner listed three “natural diseases:” (1) “arteriosclerotic heart disease,” which it described as “multifocal, severe;” (2) “hypertensive heart disease,” which included a “clinical history of hypertension,” and (3) a left pelvic tumor, which it described as “incidental.” The toxicology chart stated:
The resultant riots—characterized by the controlled media as “mostly peaceful”—unleashed a calamitous amount of destruction and mayhem nationwide. The hue and cry lead to the prominent position that BLM has enjoyed since. One must ponder exactly how the destruction of one’s city benefits the objective of cohabitating peacefully with all races?
Love Your Neighbor
Seemingly overnight, the hot topic of “anti-racism” was broadcast by major-media outlets. Systemic racism and white supremacy were front-and-center to the major problems this country faced. Books on this topic were published and Critical Race Theory was implemented into major corporations as well as public schools.
Cultural Marxism, or Political Correctness, had reached its zenith. All of the years spent toiling away, corrupting the minds of young college students had come to fruition. The First Amendment granting everyone freedom of speech was modified by the Supreme Court of Social Justice: “You are granted freedom of speech, so long as it doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings.”
Does this country have a history of race issues? Certainly. However, the issue of racism crosses every genetical spectrum. It is not a one-sided problem.
What Is The Solution?
Herein lies the major problem: What happened to caring for your neighbor? In Matthew 22:39, Jesus told us: “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
There are cultural differences between us all. It is not limited to one’s race, but also includes the region where you grow up. Jesus should be our role model and we should compote our lives in the same manner.
Sadly, our society has no longer embraces a biblical worldview. Carnal matters rule the minds of many who claim to be Christian. With the usurpation of Bible-believing, God-fearing pastors by liberal theologians, the masses are being led down the wrong path.
As my dear friend Pastor Chuck Baldwin recently told me, “The churches, in the minds and hearts of church leaders, they are a business. As per 501(c)3 IRS regulations, they are a non-profit corporation. The product is designed to insure the corporation succeeds. The bottom line means money, crowds, etc.” In essence, the money changers have thrown out biblical doctrine!
The Apostle Paul warned us of a great falling away. The elite have seized upon the societal disconnect with the church and are fomenting racial and class warfare amongst the masses. The teaching in Acts 10:34 of Peter that, “God is no respecter of persons” is not valued because of our corrupted values.

There is hope, though, dear friend. If we cleave to the teachings of God’s Holy Word, practice what is taught and treat each other as a brother or sister in Christ, we shall overcome. Do as Jesus tells us to do in Mark 16:15: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
