Go Along to Get Along Is No Longer An Option

Declaration of Independence

Fifty-six men signed the Declaration of Independence, committing an act of treason against the British government. These brave forefathers of our nation believed strongly that their idea would create opportunities for them and future generations to rise as high as they desired.
As we celebrate the Fourth of July, Independence Day, it is imperative that we recall the struggle it took to create our republic. These men pledged their lives on the dream of freedom from tyranny. To them, it was an honor to stand and fight for their beliefs.
For two hundred and forty-seven years America has been a beacon of freedom to the world. From our roots as thirteen colonies to becoming the world’s only superpower, America has been envied and despised for its riches and power.
Honor Is Not Just A Word
Honor is defined as: “honesty, fairness, or integrity in one’s beliefs and actions.” A man’s word was all that was needed to secure a loan from the bank. A handshake would seal a deal that was unbreakable. Sadly, this is no longer the case.
Today honor has almost disappeared. Now, the love of money or coveting what others have dominates our culture. Liars, cheaters, and thieves are gathering filthy lucre by the barrel in a quest to be “king of the mountain.”

In 2016, socialist Bernie Sanders paid—in cash—$575,000 for his third home, a lakefront property in Vermont. (If Mr. Socialist has that money to pay cash, imagine how much money is sitting in his bank accounts.)

All one must do is observe the actions of our elected leaders to fully understand the depths of depravity that has befallen this once great nation. Consider the absurd wealth politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders—and, of course, resident Joe Biden—have stockpiled. Many of their supporters simply state, “everybody does it.”
Moreover, progressives claim criminals who commit heinous crimes have suffered at the hands of white supremacists, and are therefore victims. No longer are people held responsible for their actions. Recently, in a sign of the times, a Superior Court Judge in Los Angeles ruled that holding a criminal who can’t afford to pay for bail likely violates the Constitution. In effect, there is zero bail for those who inflict suffering to the community.
Respect for our fellow man has become a casualty to these ridiculous ideals. Parents are no longer the guardians of their children as the states have decided to usurp their authority. Public schools—aka indoctrination centers—allow teachers to sew doubts in the minds of our youth by presenting their twisted gender ideology or sexual preference in the classroom.
Sheeple have too long acquiesced to the masters in power. One must only look at the number of masks on faces or consider those who willingly queued up to take an experimental gene therapy jab to confirm this statement. Tyranny is afoot, and it’s time to stand up and fight back.
Counting the Cost
As with all things in life, one must consider the options on the table and make an educated decision. Our Saviour and greatest teacher, Jesus Christ, gave us this powerful lesson:

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.”

Our forefathers counted the cost and decided that tyranny was not an option, hence their Declaration of Independence. The time is at hand for patriotic Americans to consider secession as a possibility to separate from this tyrannical government.

As we celebrate our freedom this Independence Day for the United States of America, a look back tells us a bit about the leadership of then and today.

A National Divorce
As our nation slides towards the abyss of despotism, many are demanding a separation from the Marxist doctrines emanating from state Capitols and Washington, D.C. Our country has become an ideological war zone consisting of those who are pushing critical race theory, transgenderism, pedophilia, abortion and other vile ideals against Christians and patriots.
Is this an outlandish idea? The Center for Politics at the University of Virginia discovered through its polling data: “roughly 4 in 10 (41%) of Biden and half (52%) of Trump voters at least somewhat agree that it’s time to split the country, favoring blue/red states seceding from the union.”
Could it happen? When one considers the Marxist mindset of today’s progressives, as Harriet Beecher Stowe penned in Uncle Tom’s Cabin, “over my dead body.” Marxism is steeped in gathering and adding, never in subtracting.
As J. Robert Smith wrote in his October 13, 2021 article, “The Prospect of a National Divorce:”

“The left consists of controllers and followers. Leftist followers are people who gratefully cede control over their lives. They trade freedom for perceived security—and not just materially. They want liberation from the day-to-day struggle of thinking critically, making decisions, and taking responsibility for their lives.”

This would beg the question, do you want to share a border with this mindset? While seceding from those states with socialist ideals may be feasible in the short-term, what becomes afterwards? Could a second civil war be looming on the horizon?
Scottish economist Alexander Tytler, who, in 1787, was reported to have commented on the then-new American Republic:

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been about 200 years. These nations always progressed through this sequence: From Bondage to Moral Certitude; from Moral Certitude to Great Courage; from Great Courage to Liberty; from Liberty to Abundance; from Abundance to Selfishness; from Selfishness to Complacency; from Complacency to Apathy; from Apathy to Dependency; from Dependency to Bondage.”

This is known as the Freedom Cycle. Being based upon human nature it cannot be manipulated or suddenly reversed. In this author’s estimation we are in the cycle of “Apathy to Dependency.” Marx’s socialist adherents continue to push for more governmental control. The apathetic masses will one day arise to realize that their inaction has completed this cycle, and only bondage looms.
Men of Iron or Men of Wood?
Considering the campaign waged against toxic masculinity, the obvious lukewarm pastors populating America’s pulpits, and the apathy that has permeated throughout this nation, are there any leaders who will have the courage and honor to proclaim: “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.”
Timid men have the intellect of a slave. It is time for a movement to restore honesty and integrity among the people. We must remember the only glorious legacy we can leave behind for the next generation is liberty. In liberty there is security. Unless men of iron will come forward and garner the respect needed to lead the charge, the tyrants will continue to oppress the sheeple.
