What if the horrors of 9/11 happened now, in our current political and social climate? How would our nation react as a whole? Would people pull together, regardless of political affiliations, in solidarity, horrified, angry and indignant over how such a thing could happen on American soil, killing so many?

On the topic of 9/11, Hasan Piker feels that “America deserved it.”

Enter in “The Progressives”

How did we go from “We will never forget” to “America deserved it,” as spewed by Hasan Piker? Piker is an internet streamer, activist, left-wing political commentator and progressive influencer. Piker is also an ardent Marxist whose goal is to overthrow capitalism and devotes himself to the hatred of the West. This has not alienated Rahm Emanuel, Ro Khanna, Gavin Newsom, Abdul El-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani, Adam Hamawy and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (whom Piker has picked as the Democratic presidential nominee for 2028). Sad to say, similar anti-American sentiments are echoed by many other left and far-left political figures and also some media.

    Graham Platner, once Maine’s Democrate Senate choice for nomination, posts critical and demeaning comments against the U.S. and our military service members. He doesn’t believe in that “patriotic nonsense.”

    James Talarico, is a former teacher who cloaks himself in Christianity and loosely adapted Bible quotes. He hates Christianity. He also wants climate mandates, socialized healthcare, gender ideology in schools, and expanded welfare dependency. He also can’t comprehend the American flag—“it’s complicated” and suggests it has been “co-opted.”

    Abdul El-Sayed, Michigan Democrat Senate nominee who aligned himself with Bernie Sanders, once boasted of refusing to face the American flag for the National Anthem. El-Sayed is so disrespectful of women, his own 8-year old daughter asked why he’s so mean to women.

    Darializa Avila Chevalier, socialist New York congressional candidate expresses support for Communist-Marxist principles and reverence for Soviet heads of state. She wants to abolish the police. Her stance on our flag? She once tweeted “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag.”

    We already know how “the Squad” feels, and Bernie Sanders. They have been clear enough. The Squad is poised to double in size this coming election cycle. And this is just to name a few.

    This same “progressive culture” hates everything. They hate white people (especially white men), they hate marriage, they hate history, they hate the Electoral College, they hate reflecting pools, they hate success, they hate immigration laws, they hate law enforcement, they hate the Founding Fathers, they hate the 4th of July, they hate Christmas, they hate punctuality, they hate responsibility, and they hate the United States.

    In the name of “equality” (socialism), they pronounce they have a better way. We must make everyone equal, they espouse. As we know from reading Animal Farm, some are always “more equal” than others. You and I know, and Vladimir Lenin stated the obvious: “Socialism is just a transitional stage toward Communism.” In Socialism the means of production are socially owned and class distinctions begin to fade. As Socialism “progesses” to Communism, they would have us believe, it represents a higher stage marked by classless, stateless, and moneyless society with abundance and free association.

What If 9/11 Happened Today?

If 9/11 happened in 2026, with today’s widespread “progressivism,” would American patriotism soar and the stores all run out of American flags as it did in 2001? Doubtful. Today, instead, we have homeowner associations that demand homeowners take down their American flags, even on the 4th of July.

    If such a catastrophic event occurred now, it would most likely trigger major finger-pointing, disputes over facts, warning failures, or who’s at fault and a whole lot of “we deserved it.” Any patriotic response would likely split along party lines and the progressives are a growing number.

How Did We Sink to This Level?

The common denominator can be summed up by Russian gulag camp survivor Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, “Men have forgotten God; that’s why all this has happened.”

    Before this, our forefathers understood. As Andrew Jackson was dying, he looked at the family Bible and said to his doctor, “That book, sir, is the rock on which our Republic rests.”

    The Bible has been watered down, to say the least. Our churches have been taken over by progressivism—redefining, reshaping and devaluing the very Foundation. From homosexual leaders, prosperity gospel, empty movements like the laughing revival, mammon is king. There is little courage to lead and be a beacon in darkness. We have allowed the world to define “Christianity.”

    Can we turn things around for America, or are we at the end of the great experiment? What if we could take back our Republic tomorrow? What would we gain if everyone goes to Hell? You know the answer. Without God and His Word, wisdom, accountability and morality have fallen to the curb. We must take up our mantels and go out to spread the Gospel. That is the only way.
