The Shady Senator
From Arizona—The True John McCain: Born the son of an Admiral and grandson of an Admiral, John McCain seemed
destined to join their ranks in the Navy. There was only one problem... John McCain was more
interested in partying and womanizing to take his studies at Annapolis seriously. Although McCain
graduated near the bottom of his class, he was a member of the select few who were chosen for
flight school in Pensacola. Crashing two planes and flying a third into power lines in Spain did
not deter his career. Allegedly igniting missiles because of a hot-dog move on the flight deck of
the USS Forrestal was not grounds for his dismissal either. After his capture and release by the
North Vietnamese, John McCain returned hope as an American hero. With the backing of his
mob-connected father-in-law, McCain was able to win a seat as a United States Senator. His
membership in the Keating Five threatened to derail his just-started career as a Senator, but again,
McCain was able to squirm his way free. Although he was registered as a Republican, McCain could be
counted on to support liberal ideals in his typical wishy-washy ways. Jerry Barrett reports on the
sordid and checkered past of the late Senator from Arizona in this shocking exposé.
