Grin and Barrett
(Volume 2)—There Is No Kosher Tax: Jerry Barrett continues his new series discussing hot topic items from
current events and the affect it may have on our every day lives. Many people have claimed for
years that there is a “Kosher Tax” on foodstuffs that we purchase every day from
the local grocery store. This is not true. However, many manufacturers have fallen prey to the
pressure exerted by Orthodox Jews to certify products as Kosher. Kosher means fit to eat and
the Babylonian Talmud explicitly states what a Jew can or cannot eat. This certification
process has made millions of dollars which directly or indirectly benefit Zionist organizations
such as the ADL, AIPAC, the World Jewish Congress, and as well as many rabbis. You could claim
that this is extortion because of threats of boycotts and being labeled anti-Semitic. It may
also surprise you the number of non-foodstuff products that have been certified as
Kosher.
